About Me
y
name is James Butler, I am 19 years of age, based in Sadberge,
County Durham in the North East of England.
am currently a student in my second year at the University of
Teesside, and am studying a BA honours degree in computer animation.
In this course we look at aspects of life drawing as well as 2d/3d
animation and concept art and design. I would love to be a character
designer or character concept artist for an animation or comics
company as I am very keen in my drawing skills and ability. I am a
very enthusiastic person and am more than willing to try anything
art related whether it is traditional or digital art.
y
interests include drawing (and watching) cartoons and manga/anime
films/comics, life drawing and viewing other people’s art work. I
also enjoy many motorsports, rally spectating, skiing, as well as
keeping my restored 1993 Mini Cooper 1.3i in tip top condition.
would be very eager to work for a professional company having had
some experience already designing characters from a set brief, but
also having a keen interest in comic characters as a hobby. My
greatest love is drawing and I have created some of my own
characters and even written a few short stories based on these. I
would be thrilled if these were brought to public print or broadcast
on television.
he
coloured drawings on my website are sketched by hand, some are then
inked others are not, then they are scanned into the computer and
coloured using Adobe Photo Shop.
would be very grateful if you could consider me for a placement with
yourselves for the third year of my degree course. Alternatively, if
you are looking for a permanent employee, please contact me to
discuss.
am a very hard working, dedicated and conscientious person, who is
more than willing to learn from others with more experience and
knowledge.
